Робота: R&D Program Manager

SoftServe is looking for an experienced R&D Program Manager to join our professional team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Innovate and envision. Technologically, methodologically and business-logically. Ideation, innovation and invention must be present in your DNA.
• Approach the client. Negotiate relationships. Develop relationships with client stakeholders. Provide project scoping, planning and estimation.
• Understand client. Develop trust and cooperation, perform interviews and facilitate work sessions. Build and manage expectations
• Ensure the ultimate success, business benefit, acceptance and pay off from the research program. Deliver end result.
• Define and initiate research, perform managerial and leadership activities to handle value, cost, schedule and performance of the program and component projects.
• Create and execute project plans and revise as appropriate. Ensure on-time project deliverables with required quality.
• Create and manage project budget. Analyze financial data and seek ways to minimize expenses and maximize revenue.
• Build and maintain research team structures for meeting successful project objectives. Manage and assign individual tasks and responsibilities to direct reports.
• Effectively apply defined research project management methodologies and enforce project standards.
• Report project status to stakeholders (including high-level status in regards to client, people and business development perspectives).
• Manage client expectations related to project. Monitor and increase client satisfaction. Facilitate client communications.
• Effectively utilize each project team member, ensuring, when possible, that project tasks are in line with each person career interests. Mitigate project team conflicts and communication problems.

Education:
• Technology background is mandatory: bachelor degree or above in Cybernetics, Physics, Computer Science or similar.

Specialized knowledge:
• Strong vision of modern technological and economical trends: IoT/IoE, S+S/SaaS/Cloud, Wearable, BYOD/BYOA, SDN/SDx, AI/DNN, Machine Learning, Big Data, Computer Vision, 3D printing, Consumerizm, Bioinformatics.
• Proven record for the strength of vision (personal blog, recognizable achievements, references from respected professionals).
• Revenue models, profit/loss, gross margin, performance metrics. Project pricing model and billing procedures, project/budget/schedule estimation techniques.
• Agile and iterative SDLC, software development company biz model, offshore software development specifics
• System design, archetypes from high-scalability to embedded and fw/hw.
• Cross-cultural awareness

Skills & Abilities:
• Advisory and Relationship building
• Team player and sub-team leadership.
• Envisioning and Estimation. Fast estimations.
• Balanced Result, Client and Process orientation.
• English upper intermediate level or higher (Russian, German appreciated)

Experience:
• 2 references to 4 years of proven successful professional program and project management experience. Project ownerships in all aspects (budget, scope, schedule, quality, expectations, copyrights, licensing).
• Experience working with US/European companies communicating at managerial level (C-Level, VP, Directors, Department Managers)
• Proven success in team building/management and as team player in previous positions

Professional Certifications:
• Management, Technology, Economics certifications appreciated
