Робота: Senior Network Administrator

SoftServe is looking for an experienced Senior Network Administrator to join our professional team.

Job Purpose
Administration of corporate network infrastructure

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design and implement network topologies for corporate intranet to ensure optimal performance and high robustness of corporate network
• Ensure correct operation and performance of corporate network in accordance with mission priorities and system capabilities.
• Design and implement Quality of Service (QoS) configurations for corporate network to ensure required quality of data, audio and video connectivity for the company
• Promptly and correctly resolve network-related issues
• Monitor corporate network, take steps to proactively correct network problems, improve reliability and quality of service
• Serve as escalation point for network related requests from Layer 2 Support and customers received by corporate Service Desk
• Install, configure and administer LAN and WAN equipment
• Provide technical direction for the analysis, design, construction, integration, deployment and configuration of the system developed
• Estimate efforts required for project implementation and accomplish the tasks in compliance with a schedule defined by technical management
• Take full responsibility for the implementation of project parts including work on the new projects. Resolve development issues of high complexity
• Develop specifications and technological approaches for corporate services
• Maintain technical specifications and supplementary project documentation in compliance with the changes in the system or its environment
• Maintain and document services in accordance with defined industry standards
• Actively contribute to corporate knowledge base
• Work under minimal supervision and schedule own time to correspond to the overall development plan
• Assist in the recruitment of new entrants by participating in technical interviews
• Develop professional skills and knowledge by participating in and contributing to a certain Competence Group
• Assist in skills development and supervision of subordinates

Education:
• Master degree in Computer Science or similar

Experience:
• 5 years experience in managing of large distributed network enterprise or providers
• Expertise in identification of network problems
• Nondisruptive reconfiguration of network topologies and equipment

Specialized knowledge:
• Expert knowledge of network protocols on all OSI model levels (including L2 and L3 protocols, QoS protocols, VPN protocols, SNMP, routing etc.)
• IP-converged architectures
• Design of fault-tolerant network topologies
• Cisco hardware and software (IOS)
• Network management solutions
• Network security technologies and approaches
