We search for Security Analyst with strong knowledge and working experience in:


Duties and Responsibilities:

• To perform in-depth analysis of vulnerabilities on a day-to-day basis and come up with signatures for the Intrusion Prevention product.
• Work on open ended research projects for new methods of detecting and preventing threats that can be mitigated by the Intrusion Prevention product.
• Support the sales and services teams at with responses to customer queries and custom signatures as required.
• Keep up to date with latest happenings in the security domain.

General Requirements:

• Thorough understanding of security models, operating system concepts, and the root causes of vulnerabilities (buffer overflows, format string vulnerabilities, integer overflows, XSS, CSRF, etc.) and how to exploit them.
• Thorough understanding of common vulnerability mitigation techniques on the network and the host.
• Sound knowledge of protocols including HTTP, SSL, FTP, TCP, SSH, IP, DNS, etc.
• Be able to perform reverse engineering to a certain extent.
• Able to work as an independent researcher as well as in a team.
• Familiar with exploitation tools such as Metasploit, Core Impact, Canvas, etc. and be able to script exploits for these tools.
• Familiar with different techniques of false positive and false negative testing.
• Research oriented mindset with the ability to also work on vulnerability coverage.

Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Strong attention to detail

Education:

• Bachelor degree or higher

Professional Certification:

• Masters / PhD in security (desirable)
• Security Certifications (desirable)
