We search for DB/BI Competence Manager with strong knowledge and working experience in:

Job Purpose

Ensure company competitiveness in technologies based on DB/BI worldwide. Promote DB/BI competence across the company and development community. Ensure DB/BI technical expertise is provided in the company during Software Development Life Cycle. Represent company’s best practices and approaches in DB/BI technology among customers and prospects. Develop DB/BI knowledge and skills of the employees to enable them to meet their professional growth demands as well as company’s business objectives.

Education:

• Master degree in Computer Science or similar

Skills & Abilities:

• English upper intermediate level or higher
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent coaching and supervisory skills
• Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent estimation skills

• People motivation skills
• Process orientation
• Human resources management

Specialized knowledge:

• Understanding of software development company functioning
• Understanding of offshore software development specifics
• Understanding of CMMI model and RUP processes
• Proficient knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, MSF) and software development life cycles
• Proficient knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems, Data warehouses and Business Intelligence design and implementation approaches
• Proficient knowledge of coding best practices in RDBMS
• Proficient knowledge of unit testing best practices in RDBMS
• Proficient knowledge of best practices for Data Warehouse planning and implementation;
• Hand on experience in implementing BI solutions including Data Visualization and Decision engineering;
• Ability to estimate business effect from implementing BI solutions (Desirable)
• Proficient knowledge of configuration management practices (Desirable)

Other characteristics such as personal characteristics:

• Highly responsible

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in developing complex solutions based on RDBMS and BI technologies
• Microsoft SSRS and SSAS (Desirable)
• SAP Business Objects (Desirable)
• Oracle Business Intelligence (Desirable)
• Proven success in training programs development (Desirable)
• Proven success in technical leadership and coaching
• Proven success as team player in previous position(s)
• Proven communicator/presenter

Professional Certification:

• DB certification Microsoft, Oracle, IBM or similar (Desirable)
